Wishing for a white christmas

Waiting at the airport to pick up my sister and dad. Wishing it would snow so we can have a white Christmas, but remembering that there is SOOOOO much more to Christmas than snow or gifts; it's the gift of God's Son Jesus! He died for me and you.

Black Friday continued....

So.... We successfully made it in and out of Walmart in ten minutes but that didn't hold true for the Meijers run! We had one main objective with Meijers and that was to get a kindle. We stood
In line for 4 and a half hours for a kindle. 4 and a half hours! Our feet and backs and well everything is aching!

We also managed to grab two pyrex dish sets that were originally $45.00 each for only $20.00! WooHoo! Now for some food! Video footage to come!

Black Friday

And we're off.... We stopped at the shell station to get gas in Richmond on our way to Lexington. When I looked at the Koul's parking lot next door, the parking lot was full and there were cars bumper to bumper lining the curb surrounding the store and also continuing to the car lot down the road. Videos to come in the near future!

Halloween: Trunk-or-Treat @CBC

Tonight I froze sitting outside in the church parking lot passing out candy to nearly 4,000 children that came through tonight for our annual church trunk or treat on Halloween night. I ran out of candy 4 times, but still managed to replenish and make it last till the very end of the night.

I enjoyed seeing all the kids smiling faces and all the awesome costumes.

Although I had many favorites, one of my most favorites was the little boy who dressed up as a rubrics cube (homemade of course).

Dr. Robert Moss (preacher)

Today was an AMAZING day! I spent the morning at church and heard one of the best sermons in my life. The speaker was Dr. Robert Moss. He spoke about parents becoming leaders for their children, and always starting the day out with prayer and quiet time. The sermon was very moving and touching and you could sense that God was moving in a powerful way throughout the entire service.

After church, I got to enjoy a wonderful home cooked meal at my boyfriend's grandmothers house; homemade mashed potatoes, fried/barbequed chicken, greens, peas, biscuits and gravy, and best of all.... homemade Butter roll for dessert. :)
